Review: Benefit’s Watt’s up! Highlighter

This is one of my favourite younger brands to try. Although, not all their products hit the mark for me…this has to be one of their best creations ever! If you’re new to the term “highlighter” (no it’s not where you take a neon highlighter…), then this is a great product to try. Highlighters are made to make your cheek bones pop out and if used correctly, then you can use it to slim certain areas of the face! This is a champagne coloured highlighter that isn’t glittery, but rather a soft focus highlighter. It’s a cream to powder finish so you can actually blend it into your skin to get a natural look.  At $36 (CDN) a pop, you are getting your moneys worth. This product literally hasn’t run out for me and I’ve used it a million times. It has to be one of the best highlighters out there on the market and it really does give you the perfect gleam! It comes with a blender on one end and it does a fantastic job at blending! You can find this at Sephora and any Benefit counters at specialty department stores.  For me, it isn’t a daily staple product because I don’t like using a highlighter on a daily basis…but I do use this for when I’m going out to special events and occasions.

How to use: glide this product on eye brow bone, cheek bones, cupids bow above the lip and above the eye brows.  Use the blender to blend into skin and voila you have the perfect gleaming look courtesy of Watts up!

Happy Shopping Dolls! x

Pros:

  • Cute packaging
  • Has a perfect blender
  • Not glittery or super shimmery; the perfect natural gleam; virtually not noticeable until light hits the face!
  • Blendable
  • A lot of product for the price

Cons:

  • Bulky packaging
  • Blending applicator might be grounds for bacteria
  • Price

Rating: 9/10 (I love this product but I wish it was a bit smaller/less bulkier; I get that they were going for a cool look…but the product is fantastic with or without the packaging)
