Best Dressed Celebrities: The Met Gala 2014

This is the most awaited event in every fashionista’s life. The infamous Met Gala is an annual fundraising gala which raises money for the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Arts. Every year there is a theme that coincides with the featured exhibit at the museum. This year the theme was based on Charles James’ Beyond Fashion, who is known as “America’s first Couturier”. This year’s gala chairs were the editor-in-chief of Vogue, Anna Wintour, and Sarah Jessica Parker. They were responsible for the benefit committee and the guest list (this is like the ultimate A list party you want to be invited to). Did you know that Anna Wintour personally approves every attendee’s outfit? Everyone tries to bring their A game to this party. Some do a great job, others fumble but below you will find my favourite looks from the Met Gala this year (in no particular order of course)!

This blush tone dress was a fantastic choice for her Met Gala Debut! Kendall looks stunning!

163_3025_350Emma Stone (in Thakoon) & Andrew Garfield (in Band of Outsiders)

How adorable is this couple? Both Emma and Andrew’s choices of their respective outfits were fantastic. They look adorable and stylish!

163_3005_350Leighton Meester (in Emilio Pucci)

How amazing does this dress look on her? This gold coloured high-slit and low-cut gown makes Leighton look stunning!

163_2967_350David Beckham (in Ralph Lauren Black Label) & Victoria Beckham (in Victoria Beckham)

Always dressed to impress, the Beckhams’ hit it out of the park! This matching duo look absolutely elegant and fantastic together!

One of my favourites of the night, Gisele’s lace dress is a hit! She looks chic and the choice of emerald earrings was brilliant!

Queen B and Jay never ceases to disappoint. This power couple looks astonishing in their classic edgy chic ensembles.

163_2950_350Sarah Jessica Parker (in Oscar de la Renta)

This is what you call a Met Gala outfit. It’s bold, it’s edgy and it’s very SJP. Everything from the hair to the gloves scream fashionista!

163_3022_350Blake Lively (in Gucci Premiere) & Ryan Reynolds (in Gucci)

This gorgeous couple look stunning in their ensembles! Both of them are rocking their outfits fantastically. Plus how adorable do they look together? Love!

163_3020_350Taylor Swift (in Oscar de le Renta)

This was one of the best dressed outfit of the night. Great job Taylor, your choice of hair, makeup and dress were classy and elegant!

20cc16bf0cbd23e104622c2b9571a86fDiane Kruger (in Hugo Boss) & Joshua Jackson (Boss Made to Measure)

I love these two because they always dress well and compliment one another! Diane and Josh look stylish in their respective outfits! They look gorgeous as usual!

050514-met-gala-arrivals-54-567Cara Delevingne (in Stella McCartney)

Only she can pull off pants at the Met Gala. Cara looks fantastic in this ensemble! The accessories, the make up and the hair are also on point!

050514-met-gala-arrivals-22-567Selena Gomez (in Diane von Furstenberg)

How elegant does she look? I love the wine coloured gown on Selena. She looks classy and elegant. This has to be one of Selena’s best look to date!

050514-met-gala-arrivals-37-567Charlize Theron (in Dior Haute Couture)

Does she ever look bad? Charlize had to be one of the best dressed of the night! I love the black and white gown paired with the cape! Her classic chic look is elegant, as always!

Have a Great Day Dolls! x
