The Primetime Emmys 2014: The Best Dressed

Who watched the Primetime Emmys last night? Television’s biggest awards show took place last night and it was exciting to see the winners (and losers) of the night. I wasn’t able to watch the first half of the show, but I did catch the last half! Seth Myers was the host and he did a pretty decent job. The show itself was good, minus Weird Al Yankovic (still confused about him). Although, I’m a little bit disappointed that Orange Is The New Black didn’t win, I am happy for Breaking Bad sweeping the awards! Also, I’m glad that Jessica Lange & Kathy Bates won for their amazing performances in American Horror Story: Coven (seriously, it’s super addictive & awesome!). As always, fashion was a biggie last night. I won’t lie, I had a hard time coming up with my top favourite looks because there were a lot of hits on the red carpet. Below you will find my favourites, in no particular order:

Julia Roberts

America’s sweetheart looked ravishing on the red carpet. Julia’s million-dollar smile was paired perfectly with her navy blue long-sleeved embellished mini dress. The matching navy blue pumps, the hair and the makeup were all perfect. Julia looks stunning!

Aaron Paul

Aaron Paul was dressed to impress at the Emmys last night. The classic black suit paired with a bow tie was chic. The slicked back hair was a great choice. Aaron looks handsome as always and how cute was his acceptance speech?

Sarah Hyland

This fashion risk-taker stunned on the red carpet. In a white crop top paired with a bright full flowy skirt, Sarah looked amazing! The messy hair bun paired with the demure makeup look is perfect for the Emmys and she looks fabulous!

Hugh Dancy and Claire Danes

How gorgeous do these two look together? Claire’s red lace cut-out gown was phenomenal (the back of the dress was amazing). The hair, the makeup and the accessories were impeccable and she looked stunning! Hugh’s classic black tie/tux looks amazing as well, making him one of the best dressed and dreamiest on the carpet!

Lucy Liu

Not everyone can pull off a cream coloured gown as perfectly as Lucy! Lucy looked great last night on the red carpet! The gown fits her well and everything about this whole ensemble is perfect! The clutch, the earrings, the hair and the makeup are all on point!

Mario Lopez

Mario Lopez always looks dreamy on the red carpet. It’s really hard not to crush on this man! Mario looked handsome as always in his classic black suit and tie. His million-dollar smile, dimples and hair worked perfectly well for this ensemble!

Anna Gunn

One of my favourite looks on a red carpet ever, Anna looks incredible in this white and blue embellished top gown. I love the angular cut on this dress and the high slit on the leg. The gold colour shoes matches perfectly well with her clutch and her hair/makeup were on point!

Jason Biggs

This Orange is the new black star looked great on the red carpet! Jason’s dapper choice of the classic black suit (this was clearly the only trend with the men) was great. He looks very handsome and drool-worthy!

Lizzy Caplan

Lizzy Caplan looked phenomenal in this black and white cut out halter gown. Everything about this ensemble is perfect. The slicked back updo and the dark eye makeup made the gown stand out more. The train & the minimal accessories were a great choice!

Matt Bomer

How adorable does Matt look? I just love men in bow ties, something about this classic look just does it for me! Matt looks dapper in his all black classic tux ensemble. This handsome man rarely ever gets it wrong on the red carpet, making him one of the best dressed of the night!
