Who saw the Billboard Music Awards this past weekend? I watched a good chunk of the show before I was side tracked by The Royals on E! (that show is insanely addictive). But I did make sure to catch all the red carpet action. I must say, that this time around I was a little bit disappointed by what some of the celebrities wore on the carpet. I’m all for taking huge fashion risks, but I found that most of the risks that were taken were definitely disastrous. With that being said, the show was fabulous. I loved watching Taylor Swift and her crew dance/sing along to majority of the performances (also, how hot is her new boytoy?). Below you will find some of my favourite looks from the night, in no particular order:
This British cutie never disappoints on the red carpet. I love that he takes a casual chic approach to his ensemble here. The untucked dress shirt, the rectangular tie and the black pants all come together really well. He finishes the look with runners and messy hair!
When I saw this on the carpet, I was blown away. I love chunky sequins, especially on a gown. This one-shouldered silver dress with cutouts on the side looked incredibly gorgeous on Danica. With no accessories and minimal makeup, she knocks this look out of the park! I love the soft wavey hair in an updo. It makes the dress the focal point.
The boys of 1D look fantastic given that one of their band members randomly quit. I love that each one of them are colour coordinated to one another, yet they still have a unique style individually. Liam’s checked scarf with his ensemble looks great. Louis did a great job pairing a graphic tee with a blazer, which is very casual chic. Harry looks very rocker chic in his do. And my favourite, Nial looks handsome in his buttoned blazer and shades.
These two are starting to become my favourite celebrity couple ever. Always looking adorable, both of them looked great on the carpet. John, as always, rocks his classic grey suit really well. Chrissy, who co-hosted the show (she was so funny), looks amazing in this vertical striped low-cut jumpsuit! I love the swept back hair, the grungy eye makeup and the minimal accessories.
The BBMAs belonged to T.Swift. Not only did she sweep the awards, she premiered her epic “Bad Blood (Remix)” music video (with the help of her celeb girl crew), and she also showed off her really gorgeous rumoured BF. Apart from all of that, she looked great in this all white cutout jumpsuit. This ensemble was gorgeous. She finished the look with a clutch, which read “Bad Blood” and very minimal accessories and makeup. She kept it super simple with her hair.
