Review: Laneige Water Sleeping Mask

DSC02718

Since we are transitioning between winter and spring (although, it feels more like winter here in Toronto), I figured I should share with you one of my favourite skin care products that I’m completely obsessed with. Before coming across Laneige’s Water Sleeping Mask, I honestly was having a little bit of an issue with my skin (I know such first world problems). I have combination oily skin, so I would notice that whenever the seasons would be transitioning, my skin would start acting wonkydonky (aka dry peeling patches). I never quite was able to find a long-term solution to it, until this product. Everything else I used would temporarily fix or rather moisturize my skin.

This is a gel based water sleeping mask that is meant to rejuvenate and hydrate your skin while you sleep (huzzah for this). Initially, I hadn’t tried a sleeping mask prior to this but I can safely say that I haven’t gone back since using this.

What I love about this product is how simple and easy it is to use. I slather this lightly on my face before bed (once a week) and I wake up with the softest skin I have ever had! It makes my skin extremely radiant and super moisturized. I found that ever since I incorporated this into my skin care routine, I’ve NEVER had those flaky skin issues between seasons changing. In fact, my skin’s elasticity has improved even more. This is perfect for all skin types and I love that this works while you sleep. It literally is every lazy girl’s (or boys) dream come true! It’s got a tiny bit of fragrance to it, but nothing that overpowers. The texture of the formula is AMAZING! Since it is a gel based mask, the formula is super light and doesn’t feel heavy when you apply it. In fact, it feels like you’re using a normal moisturizer. I also found that using this once a week made my skin a lot smoother in the long run. It never has irritated my skin nor has it caused any breakouts, which is a huge plus. I got mine at Sephora for $30 (CDN). Honestly, I hadn’t heard of this brand until I got a sample from Sephora and like I’ve already said, this really was a game changer for my skin in the long run. The size of the product is great because you really don’t need to use a lot of it. I definitely think this is worth every little bit, especially if you’re looking for a sleeping mask that give you results!

Pros:

  • Smells great
  • Moisturizes while you sleep
  • You wake up with glowy, radiant skin
  • Keeps skin super soft

Cons:

  • None

Rating: 10/10

5 Favourite Celebrity Looks Of 2016

Hi Dolls! If you haven’t checked out my previous blog post, then you can do so by clicking right here! With this year coming to a close, I wanted to share with you 5 celebs who killed it with their hair, fashion and style! This year saw a lot of celebs slaying their style game but these are my favourite ones that stood out:

Priyanka Chopra

88th Annual Academy Awards - Arrivals

Can we take a moment and appreciate this Quantico star’s style! I’ve met her before and ┬ánot only does she slay her fashion choices but she also slays in real life too! This particular outfit was one of my favourites of this year! With every gown and casual outfit PC wore, she proved more and more why she is Hollywood’s next IT girl.

Kristen Bell

When Kristen Bell wore this gown, she knew that she would be making news! Not only was this one of the most memorable red carpet moments of 2016, it also inspired many people to wear floral prints again! I love how simple Kristen always keeps it with her style and anything she wore this year was nothing short of cool!

Beyonce & Blue Ivy

Beyonce’s Instagram was on fleek this year. Not only did she showcase all her outfits but she also gave us a glimpse of Blue’s budding fashion moments. Seriously, I’m not even surprised because Beyonce slays anything and everything she touches. This particular look was one of my favs because of its fashion forward simplicity. Tres chic!

Michelle Obama

Again, anything Michelle wears becomes a fashion statement and everything she wore in her last year as First Lady became an instant fashion statement. There are very few political figures that can slay their fashion choices but Michelle has easily become a fashion icon. This particular look was stunning on Michelle!

Kate Middleton

Does Kate Middleton ever dress horribly? Like I have yet to see a single outfit I don’t like that she has worn. Every thing she wears, sells out within minutes and that’s why she has become one of my favourite royals to follow! Her fashion choices this year was nothing short of perfection and I can’t wait to see what 2017 holds for her!

See you in the next post!

kisses,
