Fashion Diaries: Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Best Style Moments

Since it’s Wednesday and Daff Diaries has gone Bollywood for the week, this week’s Woman Crush Wednesday is none other than the fashionista herself, Kareena Kapoor Khan. This A-lister was born into Bollywood Royalty but has carved her illustrious movie career all by herself. In fact, she is one of the very few actresses who’ve grown up gracefully in Bollywood. Her acting skills are as impeccable as her style sense. Everything Kareena wears, she wears with confidence and manages to looks amazing no matter how eclectic the look is. Kareena’s style can be best described as glamorous chic. Every red carpet she attends, she is dressed to impress (it also doesn’t hurt that her husband makes for hot arm candy). Whether she is wearing traditional Indian clothing or just normal clothes, this style diva looks great! This is the reason why she is one of the best-dressed celebrities in Bollywood. Here are some of my favourite outfits Kareena has worn:

Kareena looks stunning in this embellished white saree. The matching glitzy clutch is in perfect harmony with her dangly diamond earrings. Bold makeup and volumized hair finish this amazing look!

This embellished gold body-hugging halter gown is gorgeous on Kareena. She looks classy and elegant. The hair, the makeup and the lack of accessories are all perfect, making the dress the focal point of the ensemble!

Kareena looks stylish in this red saree with a black/bronze embroidered border. The bronze glitzy tank blouse works well with this saree! Side swept hair, her signature makeup look and rings finish this beautiful ensemble.

Not many can make a cream neon yellow dress work, but Kareena does it gracefully! The detailing on this gown is perfect on her. Strappy heels, her signature makeup look and pulled up hair finish this pretty look!

This silver embellished black see-through saree looks incredible on Kareena! The bandeau blouse isn’t overdone. The dangly diamond earrings, her signature makeup and straight hair finish this ensemble.

This flower printed midi dress is pretty on Kareena. The silver peep-toe heels are paired perfectly with this dress. Kareena finishes this look with her signature makeup, pulled up hair and no accessories.

Kareena looks beautiful in this gold striped white saree. The embellished gold blouse is very stylish. The red nails, no accessories, her signature makeup and side swept hair finish this ensemble.

Kareena looks amazing in this exquisite gun-metal coloured gown. The delicate work on the neck and sleeves is stunning! The print on the gown is beautiful. Kareena finishes this look with a black clutch, her signature makeup and swept back hair.

Kareena looks elegant in this classy printed white saree with a red embroidered border. Jasmine encrusted hair bun, her signature makeup and humongous dangly earrings finish this pretty look!

This silvery white glitzy one shouldered gown looks splendid on Kareena. The asymmetrical ruching is properly done. Red lips, neutral eyes, an updo and no accessories finish this glamorous look!

The IIFAs: Best dressed at the International Indian Film Academy Awards

The International Indian Film Academy Awards is an awards show that takes place every year to honour the top films and their actors of the past year. Although, I wouldn’t say it’s equivalent to the Oscars, it is pretty relevant in the Bollywood world. This is because it’s like a travelling awards show, it’s held in a different country across the world every year. In fact, I was lucky enough to attend this show in 2011 when it was taking place in Toronto. It was quite an awesome experience as I was able to see/meet a lot of stars in the span of a few hours. It is really something I can cross off my bucket-list now! This awards show took place this weekend in Tampa, Florida and it was quite the riot! Fans were flocking to see all the stars and the stars were flocking to take selfies (times have changed!). I love this award show because it lets the celebrities connect back with the fans and I think it’s a fun experience for both parties. There are 3 days of events: Day 1: Fashion based event, Day 2: Technical Awards, and Day 3: The actual Awards Show. With so many days, the fashion trends are fun to watch and here are my favourites from the weekend (in no particular order):

Deepika Padukone

She dressed to impress every time she hit the ‘green’ carpet this weekend. Both her dresses were fantastic and she looked absolutely stunning. The hair, the makeup and the accessories were on point. Kudos to her stylist!

Sidharth Malhotra

How handsome is he? He was definitely one of the best dressed this weekend. I loved that he wore both a suit and a traditional Indian men’s wear, both of which looked amazing on him!

Priyanka Chopra

This girl never disappoints. Always dressed to impress, she looked gorgeous in this blush toned dress. Her swept back hair, makeup and minimal accessories compliments the dress well! Great job PC!

Aditya Roy Kapur

If you’ve read the Bollywood portion of my blog, then you already know how much I adore this man. He was one of the best dressed men of the night. The black suit, tie and shoes were perfect. Also, it doesn’t hurt that he has a killer smile to go with that handsome face.

Dia Mirza

Dia Mirza has always been one of my favourite dressed celebs. She looks beautiful in this pleated gown. I love the choice of bold colour. Her hair and make up are also on point. Her accessories compliment her dress well!

Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan

How amazing did Saifeena look (yes they have a Brangelina name). Saif looks dashing in his attire. I love his choice of a bright red pocket square! Kareena looks stunning. The deep neck doesn’t look trashy on her and her hair/makeup are on point! They’re complimenting each other well!

Riteish Deshmukh

Riteish looked great in this attire. I love that he went with a bow tie rather than a normal tie. The slick back hair works perfectly with this look. His choice of black/white combo was a fantastic one! He looks super dashing!

Bipasha Basu

How gorgeous does she look? The hair and the makeup was perfect for this sequins dress. She looks stunning. The minimal accessories was a smart choice too. This has to be one of my favourite outfits Bips has ever worn!
