If you’ve read my past reviews about some of the products from Huda Beauty, then you already know how obsessed I am with what this brand has to offer. The creator behind this brand is Huda Kattan (you can read more about her on her wikipedia page).
How I heard about this brand: The Internet & Youtube. I stumbled across one of her videos years ago and I’ve been a fan ever since. In fact, she is one of my main inspirations and reason why I started blogging. She introduced her namesake makeup line with the introduction of false lashes, famously worn by Kim K.
First Item Purchased: Believe it or not, it wasn’t the lashes. In fact, it wasn’t even me who made that first purchase. My mom had heard through friends in Dubai that Huda Beauty had one of the best liquid lipsticks at the time. We collectively decided to try them out and was glad when Sephora was offering the brand through their online store. I blogged all about it here.
Favourite Item So Far: Her first eye shadow palette. Goodness, I have used that palette so much that I’m not even sure what I would do if I were to hit pan on majority of these shadows (since it is limited edition). I won’t lie though, the Golden Sands highlighter palette comes SUPER close (the highlight is b l i n d i n g).
Why I’m Obsessing Over This Brand So Much: It’s fun. It’s relatable. It’s beautiful. You’re definitely getting your money’s worth. Everything I own is super pigmented and I’m very happy with the products.
What I’m Looking Forward To From This Brand: I haven’t tried the foundation and the primer…so there’s that. BUT, I really want Huda Beauty to come out with an eye lash kit, that has a mascara, individual false lashes and smouldering liner. I’m counting down to that!
What Should You Get: The eyeshadow palettes! Even though her original palette was limited edition, she has come out with mini eye shadow palettes that are perfect for travel! There are 9 shades and a mirror, what more can one want! Also, if you’re going to try any of their liquid lipsticks or liners, Bombshell and Famous are my favourites! You can currently purchase these through Sephora’s website or her own website!
